Thank you so much for all the hard work you have been putting in for the past months. All of that prepping, planning, and stressing has come to an end. You had a vision in the beginning and you stuck with it all the way through. And what was the end result?! SJSU was able to bring home not one, but TWO TROPHIES!! A big congratulations to you and your term.
Thank you so much for putting us Explorers together this year and giving us a historical and memorable Friendship Games!
As a thank you to you for all of your hard work, here is what people had to say:
Meghan Louie, Up and Under Coach: Dear Julian, Thank you for allowing me to have the opportunity to end my friendship games career with a bang. I am very proud to say that I got to end my career the way it did. You stuck to your gut and came out successful so great job this year! I hope that you had accomplished everything that you set out to. You are now a part of FG history and you can say that you have done something very few Social Chairs before you haven’t been capable of. Congrats on such a successful season. You rock dude!
Iris Hung, COREchata: From SPUF practices to Sunday meetings, I wanted to thank you Julian for making my first Friendship Games an unforgettable one! Thanks for holding your tears for SPUF Core, we liked that too! I hope you get beautiful memories whenever you look at that 8 ft trophy.
Jose Pardo, Games Captain: Hi Julian! Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for everything! We really appreciate everything you did, as well as core, and we wouldn’t have done it without y’all! From the bottom of my heart, thank you for making my second Friendship Games, one of the books.
Alan Gouig, SPUF: When Julian had announced to everyone that our theme for this year’s Friendship Games was going to be Dora, I immediately knew that this FG was going to be a special one. From seeing his spirit, his passion, and his drive to win, we were able to “explore” our way to the 1st place SPUF trophy! Julian made this an unforgettable year for all of us not just because we came in 1st place in SPUF, but because this was a year where we felt closer and more connected to everyone than ever before. Out there, we weren’t JUST spartans. We weren’t JUST explorers. We weren’t JUST SJSU. We were kids again, and loving every second of it! So thank you, Julian. For everything. Thank you for leaving your legacy behind, and a great legacy at that
Justin Galvez, Level 40’s Treasurer: Thanks for all your hard work so far Julian. I never would have thought that i’d be working alongside you to this high of a degree. With that being said, I couldn’t ask for any another Social Coordinator to create my best and last Friendship Games. ~
Joshua Domenden, Roll Call: I wanna start this off by saying thank you Julian from the bottom of my heart for giving me and this amazing group of people a wonderful experience at this years Friendship Games! Coming from a student that doesn’t go to SJSU, it means a lot to be accepted by you and getting to share that stage with you. Dude like no joke on moms, you freakin killed it at Roll Call this year and it’s sad to say that I won’t get to share the same stage with you again. This is my very first Friendship Games and I know this is the most memorable one for me. We’ll kill even more next year!
Baotran Ton, COREchata: Hai Julian, I think it’s funny how last year idolized you because you were SPUF Master, and I thought wow this guy is pretty cool. And then remember when we were joking around about running for cab? Look at where you got now!!! I knew from the start that you would be a great Social Chair. A big thank you for letting me be a part of SPUF Core this year, it has always been a dream of mine and you turned it into a reality. Thank you so much for all the hard work you have put in to make this happen. With your passion and drive, I knew this was going to be a great Friendship Games. Always have been flipping proud of you and always will be. Thank you so much for making another Friendship Games memorable for me!! ^-^ You did it, you did it, you did it, YEAH!!!
Stacy Hernandez, COREchata: Dearest Julian, These path months collaborating with you and COREchata for Friendship Games have been nothing but enjoyable. Who knew that the skit we literally put together in two-three nights in Edgar’s backyard around the campfire eating chips, would end up winning the 8’ SPUF trophy?! Together we put in weeks of work, shared many laughs and memories, and came out COREchampions that weekend. I want to say thank you for giving all of us this amazing experience. You were the leader that brought us all together! You were so open-minded to every idea, understanding to all of our situations, and always supported us in whatever we thought was best. You pushed us to be the best core we never knew we could be. You were right there by all of our sides through the whole day at FG and when they announced that we won at the club, we shared happy tears and hugs with our a whole school that we’ll cherish forever. Friendship Games 2016 was legendary and we’re thankful to have been lead by such an incredible social chair. We did it, we did it, we did it, yeah!
Mario Hidalgo, Bus Master: Hey Julian! I just want to say thanks for everything you and your core did to achieve this amazing feat. Coming from a returner that felt the pain of not making final rampage by one point and not hearing our name called at ceremony, I can truly say that the feeling of winning not one but two trophies is absolutely amazing and worth the pain of last year. I saw the dedication and the fire you had in each aspect I was in. From SPUF, to Roll Call, to Games I knew that you were giving your all and it made everyone around you, especially me, want to match you 110% for 110%. Our talks about everything just further proved that you weren’t going to let us come back to San Jose without those trophies. I want to thank you for making some of the best memories and experiences for not just me but 200 and plus other individuals. I hope you know that you deserve every single moment of praise from everyone that has thanked you within the past couple of weeks. So just one more time for each title I’ve ever called, thank you spuf master, thank you bus master, thank you social chair, and thank you Julian for everything that you have ever done to bring us home those trophies and for making 2016 our year. Thank you
Gerard Manay, Level’s 40 President: Congrats Julian for achieving history this year at Friendship Games! You did an amazing job inspiring everyone to their best and that lead to a 2nd place Games Trophy and 1st Place SPUF Trophy! Your efforts have not gone unnoticed and thank you for providing this experience to everyone
Marco Morillo, Level 40’s KAAMP Coordinator: Hi Julian! I just wanted to say thank you for all your hard work on FG! I and everyone else will remember this year for all the work you put into FG and the trophies that came out because of it. I hope you loved every second of this experience and thank you so much for everything bro!
Angelo Banzon, COREchata: To Julian, On behalf of Corechata, I would like to thank you for giving each of us the opportunity, and for trusting us to be on your SPUF core. The memories I’ve made with this amazing group of individuals will always have a special place in my heart. Congratulations on bringing home two trophies, and for giving all of SJSU a Friendship Games to remember. It couldn’t have been done without your vision and hard work. To our last FG, we did it!
Vincent Paul Lopez Bualoy, SPUF: Hey Julian! It’s Vince. Just wanted to give you a huge thanks for being the best social chair ever! I have to really commend you for all the work you did to set up for this year’s Friendship Games. Those trophies we got were because of you. We would have never gotten those two trophies without you. And even if we did, it wouldn’t have been the same. I personally want to thank you for making my first ever Friendship Games something I’ll never forget. On behalf of everyone in SPUF, roll call, and games. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!
Jenirose Santos, Nasty Coach: Julian, First off, congratulations on bringing back not just one, but TWO trophies. It’s crazy to think that a few years back, I interviewed you when you were an ading. It has been a pleasure watching you grow. I am so proud of you. You overcame obstacles and stood strong in what you believed in. From all of us coaches, thank you for making our last FG memorable. P.S. give us some up downs. -Your 2016 Nasty Coach, Jenirose Santos.
Aj Paquia, Jacob Pingue, Janae Ajel, Yevgeny Madelle, Roll Call Directors :Dear Julian, From all four of us roll call directors, we cannot thank you enough for giving us the opportunity to direct this year’s roll call. Thank you for believing in us, despite our lack of experience, and for allowing us to create something special that we’ll always remember. We’ll miss seeing our roll call ohana every Tuesday and Thursday and will always be proud of their commitment and effort put into our hyphy-Dora set. We commend you for being a part of our roll call family, going to hell week practices despite being sick, and for giving everyone on core the ability to make this year’s FG season successful and fun! Watching the video on repeat for the past couple of days (lol) always brings a smile to our faces and we miss that weekend and everyone dearly. Congrats to you, SPUF Core, Games Coaches, and the entire SJSU FG fam for bringing home the hardware and gifting us with a 5 minute set next year! -CoreKages<3
Cassidy Tarng, COREchata: Hi Julian, I want to congratulate you on a very successful friendship games. As a former Social Chair, I understand the amount of difficulties and stress that you experienced through that whole process, but you handled it amazingly and the results showed. I am proud to say that you are my Social Chair spawn, as well as my somewhat SPUF master spawn. I’ve been along this Friendship Games journey with you for 3 years since we were on core together Nick’s year. In those 3 years, we’ve seen people come and go on SPUF core, but you and I stuck through it all. All of that paid off and I want to thank you for finally giving me a taste of that SPUF trophy, something that you and I have both wanted since that first year on core. I’m happy that we’ve ended our Friendship Games journey together on such a happy note. Now for the last time… We reppin’ esse… esse… esse.
