Akbayan will be hosting a food truck fundraiser with Smothered Fries!

Smothered Fries has a variety of poutines. If you don’t know what a poutine is, it’s a dish with fries, gravy, and cheese curds, but Smothered Fries will give you a different look on what a poutine really is.

The fundraiser will most likely be held on San Fernando Street on School side from 11AM-2PM. We will notify you guys if the location has been changed. Hope to see you guys there!
You are cordially invited to The Prime Intern’s Debut General Workshop. Learn about debuts and its influence on the Filipino-American culture.
When: Tues, April 15 from 6-7:30PM
Where: BBC 105
Please RSVP on the event page!

Akbayan is hosting a small carnival booth at the MultiCultural Festival and you are cordially invited. There will be a few fun games and a henna booth!
Receive prizes by playing games. The games/booth require 1 ticket to play.
1 ticket = $1.00

Also we will be selling Spam Musubi for $2 or 2 tickets.
Spam + water + chips = $3/3 tickets
Looking for a fun way to get back into the swing of things here at school? Come join Akbayan and play in our annual game of AK Assassin

First, email Kayekaye Magpantay at “social@akbayansjsu.org” if you are interested in playing. A simple, “My name is John Doe and I am interested in playing AK Assasin” is fine. And send me an attached photo of yourself. Then you must pay $2 at the table. After she receives all the e-mails, she will then distribute your targets. Once given your target, you must then find a way to “kill” them –not necessarily, just pretend.. with a spoon!

If you haven’t played before, the rules are simple:

1. In order for your “kill” to count, no one must see you kill your target.
2. You can only attack them from the chest and below.
3. **It must not be a harmful attack!!**
4. You can hire a hitman to kill your target as well.
5. Once you are killed, your killer then receives your target and proceeds.
6. In order to respawn, you must pay $1 within 30 MINUTES of dying. The second time will be $2 and so forth.

The prizes are TBD, but the winner will be revealed at the End of the Year Banquet. Follow the AK Assassin instagram as well to keep up with who has been killed and who is still alive.

**The last day to sign up is this Saturday at 11:59PM and AK ASSASSIN will start at Super Sunday!**

For more information, please contact Kayekaye Magpantay at social@akbayansjsu.org

Let the games begin >:)
