I’ve honestly never thought I would become general member of the month or anything of that sort in Akbayan or in any kind of organization. But i am truly grateful. This is my first time joining an organization and i expected it to be like those stereotypical organization you see in shows where everyone is in a room and making plans and stuff. But in my opinion, Akbayan is an organization and more, its a family. What Akbayan did for me, was that it brought me closer to people i barely knew from the start quicker than i would have done if i was by myself. One memory i will always remember was my first day of Roll Call practice. I was sitting alone in the corner waiting for the workshop to start. I always look back at that memory and compare it to how i am today. I honestly can say that if it wasn’t for Akbayan, I would probably still be that loner sitting in the corner. I just want to thank my Legendary sis, Kristen Dava, cuz she was my first friend i met in Akbayan and she was the one who convinced me into signing up for KAAMP. And thank Marvin Bautista, because he convinced me to do FG Roll Call. If it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t have met my very best and close friends i have right now, my awesome Legendary Fam, and everyone else that just provides good company. All in all, I love this Family-like environment that Akbayan offers, and I’m truly grateful to have joined this organization. Salamat Akbayan para sa mabilang na mga alaala at walang katapusang pagkakaibigan. Ako ay naghahanap pa ng mas mariming alaala at pagkakaibigan sa aking buong kolehiyo sa Akbayan. (Akbayan, thanks for the countless memories and endless friendship.
